Disabilities and dance

One evening Megan closed her eyes during a song. I continued to dance with her to the end. The saying “if Megan can do it, anyone can do it”, was borne out of that. I had a go too. Both leading and following. It was a fabulous experience. It was made all the better with the headphones on and the music at full volume. You can’t hear where the person is either. Partially sighted folk can dance rather well if people give them some care.

There is a gentleman with one arm that came along regularly with his wife. He would dance a little with her but not really with anyone else. He would only strut for a minute or so, certainly not for the duration of a whole song. Not that I saw anyway. This inspired me to mirror moves. Mirroring expands your dance. Max Jive is all about expanding your dance. If you only have one hand, I will show you how you can dance a full song. No problem.
